【摘要】:Theproceduredescribedisspecificforchromiuminleather.Vanadiumistheonlycommoninterferingelementandthisisrarelypresentinquantity.Theprecisionandaccuracyofthemethodsareusuallyatleastasgoodasthesamplingoftheleatheritself.Thechromiumcontentofleatherrelatestothedegreeoftannageobtained,andhencemaybeamatterforspecificationinthepurchaseofleather.Theproceduredescribedprovidesadequateaccuracyforthispurpose.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofchromicoxideinleathersthathavebeenpartlyorcompletelytannedwithchromiumcompounds.Ingeneralthesampleswillcontainbetween1and5%chromium,calculatedaschromicoxide.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeSection7forspecificsafetyhazards.
