【摘要】:Eachfacilityratingscaleinthisclassificationprovidesameansforestimatingthelevelofserviceabilityofabuildingorfacilityforonetopicofserviceability,andforcomparingthatlevelagainstthelevelofanyotherbuildingorfacility.Thisclassificationcanbeusedforcomparinghowwelldifferentbuildingsorfacilitiesmeetaparticularrequirementforserviceability.Itisapplicabledespitedifferencessuchaslocation,structure,mechanicalsystems,age,andbuildingshape.Thisclassificationcanbeusedtoestimatetheamountofvarianceofserviceabilityfromtargetorfromrequirement,forasingleofficefacility,orwithinagroupofofficefacilities.Thisclassificationcanbeusedtoestimatethefollowing:(1)theserviceabilityofanexistingfacilityforusesotherthanitspresentuse;(2)theserviceability(potential)ofafacilitythathasbeenplannedbutnotyetbuilt;and(3)theserviceability(potential)ofafacilityforwhicharemodelinghasbeenplanned.Theuseofthisclassificationdoesnotresultinbuildingevaluationordiagnosis.Buildingevaluationordiagnosisgenerallyrequiresaspecialexpertiseinbuildingengineeringortechnologyandtheuseofinstruments,tools,ormeasurements.Thisclassificationappliesonlytofacilitiesthatarebuildingconstructionsorpartsthereof.(Whilethisclassificationmaybeusefulinratingtheserviceabilityoffacilitiesthatarenotbuildingconstructions,suchfacilitiesareoutsidethescopeofthisclassification.)Thisclassificationisnotintendedfor,andisnotsuitablefor,useforregulatorypurposes,norforfirehazardassessmentorfireriskassessment.1.1Thisclassificationcontainspairsofscalesforclassifyinganaspectoftheserviceabilityofanofficefacility,thatis,thecapabilityofanofficefacilitytomeetcertainpossiblerequirementstoprotectoccupantassets.1.2Eachpairofscales,showninFigs.2through9,printedsidebysideonapage,areforclassifyingonetopicofserviceabilitywithinthataspectofserviceability.EachparagraphinanOccupantRequirementScale(seeFigs.2through9)summarizesonelevelofserviceabilityonthattopicthatoccupantsmightrequire.ThematchingentryintheFacilityRatingScale(seeFigs.2through9)isatranslationoftherequirementintoadescriptionofcertainfeaturesofafacilitythat,takenincombination,indicatethatthefacilityislikelytomeetthatlevelofrequiredserviceability.1.3TheentriesintheFacilityRatingScale(seeFigs.2through9)areindicativeandnotcomprehensive.Theyareforquickscanning,toestimateapproximately,rapidly,andeconomically,howwellanofficefacilityislikelytomeettheneedsofoneoranothertypeofoccupantgroupovertime.Theentriesarenotformeasuring,knowing,andevaluatinghowanofficefacilityisperforming.1.4Thisclassificationcanbeusedtoestimatethelevelofserviceabilityofanexistingfacility.Itcanalsobeusedtoestimatetheserviceabilityofafacilitythathasbeenplannedbutnotyetbuilt,suchasoneforwhichsingle-linedrawingsandoutlinespecificationshavebeenprepared.1.5Thisclassificationindicateswhatwouldcauseafacilitytoberatedatacertainlevelofserviceability,butitdoesnotstatehowtoconductaserviceabilityratingnorhowtoassignaserviceabilityscore.ThatinformationisfoundinPracticeE1334.ThescalesinthisclassificationarecomplementarytoandcompatiblewithPracticeE1334.Eachrequirestheother.
